jsessionid - Can not disable cookies for HTTPS pages -

in firefox v36 (windows) set privacy / history option "never remember history", still seem used https pages. example page https://www.whatismybrowser.com/are-cookies-enabled claims have cookies enabled.

it similar in ie11. set privacy setting max (block cookies), jsession cookie based https sites continue work. f12 / network panel shows in details cookie sent each request. https://www.whatismybrowser.com/are-cookies-enabled on other hand here claims cookies not enabled.

am missing obvious?

ps: visited http://www.whatarecookies.com/cookietest.asp , http://www.arecookiesenabled.com/ , both claim have cookies enabled in firefox (meanwhile updated v37). note both regular http sites. in ie11 again report both no.

it turns out "never remember history" option not turn off cookies. turn off cookies, must set "use custom settings history" , deselect "accept cookies sites" option.

maybe there similar way ie?
