android - Google Analytics Engagement Hit. Can i create an "automatic one"? -

for don't know, calculate user's "session duration", google analytics proceeds this: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1006253?hl=en

to clarify "engagement hit" is: http://cutroni.com/blog/2012/02/29/understanding-google-analytics-time-calculations/

i have android app has 2 screens: first 1 initial (where user chooses content see), second 1 has chosen content. on initial screen, user spends 5 seconds choose content see, on second screen, has content itself, spends 30 seconds. so, total session duration should 35 seconds, but, unfortunately, second screen doesn't has "engagement hit", 30 seconds spent on "lost". terrible app's statistics.

i wondering if create event fires automatically every 5 seconds "force" engagement hit , real user's session duration on app. maybe automatic event fires hit or data analytics event tracker, don't know.

could me? idea fix failure?

i got in contact google's support , not give me satisfactory answers.

thanks in advance.
